Guest Lecture Today

10/1/2013

One of the joys of being a professor is having the opportunity to guest lecture in other classes. I really do enjoy that process and as a result I often find that it is good to have a few "extra lessons" in reserve. The prezi below is a updated version of "Narrative for Games" lesson that I originally created for my old ATEC 3352 "Game Design" class, back when I taught that course, but have dusted it off for use today as I help out with a colleague's class. I'm looking forward to talking about the difference between player story and developer story again and saying my patented motto: "If it isn't interactive, make a movie or write a book instead!. It makes me consider perhaps teaching a course called "Game Narratives" or similar. Hmm...
