Brackin's twelve "top ten" must see movies for teachers:
(...because someone asked me for it, given in no particular order, and because I can't math.)

I also point out that none of these are recent. Where are the inspirational teacher movies of the 21st Century I ask?! Could be the reason for the downfall of mankind.

Finding Forester - Seminal "gifted underachiever" tale with lots of swearing.
Music of the Heart - Very musicy!
Dangerous Minds - Diamonds in the rough be found here
School of Rock - Because Jack Black
Billy Madison - The surprise 'good' Adam Sandler movie
A Beautiful Mind - Because you CAN be crazy and teach!
The Man Without a Face - Don't judge a book by whether it's been dropped in the bathtub
Renaissance Man - Do you know how many kids cary guns to school? All of them.
Summer School - Texas Chainsaw Massacre has nothing on this movie
Stand and Deliver - Because Edward James Olmos
Take the Lead - ...because somebody has to frankly
Lean on Me - Idealism is worth the paper it's printed on after all

I can't believe you didn't include Mr. Holland's Opus (real) or Here Comes the Boom (sorta real).

The only two that come to my mind are Freedom Writers (2007) and The Great Debaters (2007). But if we are speaking about teaching in the recent years, then I would suggest Won't Back Down (2012) despite it's bad reviews. It gives a view of what has happened to the education system and how some teachers no longer care about their students. It is an interesting watch.
